PETROLEUM FUND EQUIPS LIPHAKOE COMMUNITY TO PRIORITISE SAFETY

The Petroleum Fund, in collaboration with the Department of Energy, undertook a Consumer Education Roadshow at Lower Moyeni in Quthing on Friday, 28th of June 2024.

The Fund continues to raise safety awareness. The goal is to ensure that consumers are adequately informed about the safe use of Petroleum Products in their daily activities, especially during cold winter days when the consumption of the Products is high; hence, our theme emphasises “Safety is Priority.”

In addition, the event provided information about the Fund, its mandate, and its impact on the future economy of Lesotho.

Thus, the audience who actively participated had a chance to win amazing prizes, such as fuel and shopping vouchers, liquefied petroleum gas, illuminating paraffin, and jerry cans. This presented a phenomenal and enticing occasion to both learn and win. Roadshows are some of the Fund’s initiatives to implement its Communication Strategy effectively by engaging with the public in remote areas.
